Second Hand Pets is a small rescue run out of our home. We place animals left in our care in new and loving homes. These are the pets that others feel compelled to toss out like yesterdays trash. We like to refer to them as Second Hand Pets. We currently have no foster homes only ours and don't have a facility. Each animal that comes to us is loved and nurtured until it finds it's special place in it's new families heart and home. Since our county(Boone County in Indiana) has no shelter we help out any animal in need to avoid it being euthanized or dumped on the back country roads. We will try to spay/neuter when able and get each pet a visit to the vet along with any necessary shots. If we are unable to get the pets spayed and neutered we will require proof after one month or at 6 mos of age that they were spayed/neutered. After proof the pet has been spayed/neutered $25 of the adoption fee will be reimbursed to the adopter. We rely on you the public for funding so please if you can find it in your heart to make a donation we would appreciate it. Our adoption fees will range from $125-$200 depending on the age and what we have had to do medically for the Second Hand Pet. Each pet will have their adoption fee listed on their bio page.

We are a group of united, dedicated, Labrador Retriever lovers in IN, IL, & OH that have united in hopes of saving and rehoming unwanted, unloved, neglected Labrador Retreivers through the Midwest. Love of Labs, IN, (LOLIN, INC) is an IRS deemed, not-for-profit, Public Charity. We are a 501(c)3, organization of volunteers only, that work together in a combined effort to save Labrador Retrievers and Lab mixes from being euthanized (either by injections or a gas box in animal shelters & animal controls.) We donate our time, gas, vehicles and all of our LOVE to help save these poor dogs by bringing them into our homes and including them as part of our families.
